Cloud Hands

Shift in one spot while the hands circle gently.

Starting Position

Stand with feet comfortably apart, support nearby. Knees soft. This version has no sideways steps.

Step-by-Step Movement Instructions

  1. 1Lift your hands below chest height, elbows rounded.
  2. 2Shift a little weight right. Let the right hand lower and the left rise.
  3. 3Shift left and reverse the hand positions.
  4. 4Continue slowly with both feet flat. Keep your trunk upright rather than leaning sideways.

Practice Duration

Three shifts each direction, about one minute.

Breathing Cue

Natural breathing. Let the arm circles stay smaller than the breath if needed.

Supported & Seated Variation (Path A)

Hold support with one hand and move the other. Seated: alternate small hand circles without leaning.

What to Notice During Practice

Keep both feet grounded as the weight moves between them.

When to Stop Immediately:

Shoulder pain, dizziness, numbness, or unusual breathlessness.

Sit down safely if you feel light-headed or unsteady. There is never any reason to push through pain or discomfort.

“This version stays in one spot. Exercise 17 adds steps, when you're ready for them.”
