The Three-Point Pathway Walk
KEY POINT — Change direction with small, separate steps instead of repeating a straight walk.
Starting Position
Set three points on a clear path: forward, beside you, and back near the start. Stay close to fixed support.
Step-by-Step Movement Instructions
- 1From the starting point, take one short heel-first step forward and pause.
- 2Bring the other foot close without crossing. Pause with both feet down.
- 3Take one small side step toward the counter and pause again.
- 4Return toward the start with tiny lifted steps. Stop before the path feels crowded.
Practice Duration
One slow round. Rest, then repeat only if the route still feels clear.
Breathing Cue
Natural breathing. Let each pause be quiet and deliberate.
Supported & Seated Variation (Path A)
Hold the counter throughout. Seated: point one foot forward, then to the side, and return.
What to Notice During Practice
You can stop at every point without rushing or reaching.
The route becomes confusing, your feet cross, or your steadiness changes.
Sit down safely if you feel light-headed or unsteady. There is never any reason to push through pain or discomfort.
